[BETA] Dart Integration

Written By Chad McGuire (Sparrow Intel)

This guide explains how to set up and use the Dart integration in Sparrow Intel to create tasks directly in your Dart dartboards.

Overview

Sparrow Intel's Dart integration unlocks powerful features:

  • Automatically detect and resolve issues. Chirp AI identifies cleaning and maintenance concerns from reviews, private feedback, and messages - then creates Dart tasks automatically.
  • Manually create tasks - linked to your dartboards and team members in Dart

Setup Steps

  1. Go to your Integrations tab and click the "Connect" button for Dart.
  2. In Dart, open your account settings, scroll down, and copy your Authorization token.
  3. Paste your Dart authorization token into Sparrow Intel, then click "Save".
  4. That's it! Your dartboards and team members are loaded as soon as the connection succeeds, and refreshed automatically at least once per day.

Feature Details

1. Manual Task Creation

Create Dart tasks directly from any review, review prediction, or conversation:

  1. Open the review or conversation.
  2. Click the Create Task button.
  3. Select Dart as the task source.
  4. Fill in the task details:
    • Title (required): The name of the task
    • Description (optional): Additional context or details
    • Dartboard (required): Choose which Dart dartboard to add the task to. Dartboards are shown with their space, for example "General/Tasks".
    • Assignee (optional): Select a team member to assign the task to
    • Due Date (optional): Set the day the task is due
  5. Click Create to add the task to Dart

The created task includes a link back to the original review or conversation in Sparrow Intel, and Sparrow Intel shows a link to the task in Dart.

2. Automated Task Creation with Rules

Set up rules to automatically create Dart tasks when specific conditions are met:

  1. Go to the Rules page.
  2. Create a new rule or edit an existing one
  3. Set your desired conditions (e.g., review sentiment, rating, keywords)
  4. In the Actions section, select Create Task in Dart
  5. Configure the action:
    • Assignee (optional): Choose who should be assigned new tasks
    • Dartboard (required): Select the target Dart dartboard
    • Due in (hours) (optional): How many hours after the rule fires the task is due. Dart due dates are days, so the task is due on that day.
  6. Save the rule

When the rule conditions are triggered, a task is automatically created in Dart with:

  • A title based on the review or conversation context
  • The content included in the task description

3. Task Assignment

When creating tasks (manually or via rules), you can assign them to any member of your Dart workspace:

  • Assignees are synced from your Dart workspace
  • Dart AI agents are not shown, so a task from Sparrow Intel never starts agent work
  • Assignment is optional - tasks can be created unassigned
  • If an assignee leaves your Dart workspace, tasks are created unassigned until you pick someone new

4. Dartboard Organization

All tasks must be created in a Dart dartboard:

  • Every dartboard your authorization token can see is available
  • Dartboards are synced when you connect the integration and again at least once per day
  • If you rename or delete a dartboard in Dart, rules that used it stop creating tasks until you pick a dartboard again. Account owners get an email listing the affected rules.

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens if my authorization token stops working?

Task creation will fail and Sparrow Intel will flag the connection. Copy your current authorization token from your Dart account settings and click "Update" on the Dart card in your Integrations tab.

Can I edit tasks in Sparrow Intel after creating them?

No, tasks are created in Dart and should be managed there. Sparrow Intel provides a link to the task for easy access.
